I submit my manuscript 8 weeks from today. This is what I have left to do:
77 balls of yarn. SEVENTY SEVEN BALLS OF YARN have to be made into something in 8 weeks. That means I need to use about 1/day for the next 2 months.
And the postman wondered why I was crying when I answered the door today.
In the immortal words of my mother: You can do it. You can do it. If you put your mind to it.
yeah you can :-)

I'm not sure whether to be jealous or in awe..?

You can do it x

I think focussing on one thing a day, day by day, will feel a lot less overwhelming. I'd pack most of it up and not look at more than that if it were me.
You CAN do it. Nothing good ever came without a price and it will be worth it!

Yeah you totally CAN do it! In fact you probably have before... and just not noticed you spent half of every day knitting and crocheting... like as a means to keep sane in some other time. So there. I *know* you can. Well, if your kids let you :)

Arent you the Mama who had 2 babies really close in age? Who, baked and sewed and blogged and took beautiful photographs and tried to get the oldest child to nursery every day and said, 'it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be'? Of course you can do it, because you are fabulous.

I hope it's all big needles... If anyone can do it, it'll be you! Have you tried sleepcrochet yet? I've heard it's bound to be a new Olympic discipline.
Posted by: cartside | August 03, 2012 at 09:25 PM
Tons of time! :-) I hope you have a good schedule and are sticking to it. That's the only way I get through.
Posted by: Not So Granny | August 03, 2012 at 09:30 PM
if its in the Olympics, I am in. (but only if I can drink wine and crochet at the same time)
Posted by: Slugs On The Refrigerator | August 03, 2012 at 09:44 PM
my schedule reads: do nothing other than crochet and write about crochet for 8 weeks. (well actually 6 to give you enough time). Oh god this is going to be a tough one!

Think of how you'll feel when you're done, and you did do it ... that feeling is going to be awesome!!!

You'll do it. I assume you're not still writing patterns at the same time, though??? That might stretch even you of super human crocheting strength. When I was preparing for my (disasterous) craft fair, I astounded myself with how much I got done in 4 or so weeks. Although....Matt was home all day too, so I basically did NO parenting. You will need a nice ice hand bath at the end of each day though, to keep your fingers and wrists nice and nimble. Can't wait for the book to come out. I assume I am going to be able to order a signed copy sent to me in Singapore...

You can do it! I wish I could crochet to help... I will still buy the book even though I can't ;o)

Wine gives you speedy hands, fact ;~)
You can do it Kat!
